If you’ve ever been curious about archery, now is the perfect time to explore this ancient and captivating sport. At our club, we offer comprehensive beginners’ courses designed to introduce you to the world of bows, arrows, and precision shooting. Whether you’re a complete novice or have some experience, our qualified Archery GB coaches will guide you through the fundamentals.
Course Details:
- Duration: Our beginners’ courses typically run for 12 hours, providing ample time for you to develop your skills. However, keep an eye on the course dates—some courses are over different periods of time over several days of a week, ensure you sign up to the one that's best for you!
- Session Format: Each session lasts between 2 to 3 hours, allowing you to immerse yourself in the art of archery.
- Expert Coaches: Our coaches are certified by Archery GB, ensuring top-quality instruction.
- Club Membership: Upon successful completion of the course, you’ll be eligible to join our club and continue your archery journey, or to join another club of your choosing as you'll receive certification that you have completed our beginner's course.
Safety First:
- Your safety is our priority. We provide all the necessary safety equipment, including bows, arrows, and protective gear.
- Participants are required to wear flat-soled footwear, which is not open toed, tie back long hair, and avoid loose clothing during shooting sessions.
- Our coaches emphasise safety protocols, ensuring a secure and enjoyable experience.
Age Considerations:
While our recommended minimum age is 10, we understand that each individual is unique. Children under 10 are considered on a case-by-case basis, and we cannot guarantee their participation and a decison may change depending on various circumstances. Under-18s must always shoot under the supervision of at least two adults: a Parent/Legal Guardian and an Archery GB registered archer responsible for safety.

Curious about archery? Our “Try It!” sessions are the perfect opportunity to give it a go before committing to our beginner’s course. For just £10 per person, you can enjoy an hour of archery and see if it’s the sport for you.
Please note that signing up for the beginner’s course is subject to availability. Current dates for our “Try It!” sessions are:
